OMAP1611:

    看来两款芯片的总体构架相似,有相同的核心子系统(Core Subsystem),主要在DSP(数字信号处理)部分不同。

    我们来比较一下两种芯片的概述:

730:

The OMAP730 is a single chip that integrates a ARM926EJ-S™ core for application processing and TI’s GSM/GPRS digital baseband modem. The OMAP730 offers twice the application performance over the previous generation while doubling the standby time for handsets, smartphones and PDAs. It is intended for high-volume wireless OEMs and ODMs and is not available through distributors.

1611:

The OMAP1611 processor is a single-chip application processor that supports all cellular standards, and complements any modem or chipset and any air interface. It is intended for high-volume wireless OEMs and ODMs and is not available through distributors.

    主要内容差不多,不必细看。

    由于采用相同的 ARM926TEJ Core Subsystem核心子系统,所以两种芯片的总体系能也相差不大。

  • Low-voltage 130 nm technology

    730采用几个子系统组合而成,从图上我们可以看到ARM7 MCU和TMC320C。注意,其中有个MCU(微控制单元)

结论:可以看出TI是有意区分两种不同定位的产品的,但是由于总的来说都属于无线应用方案,又是采用相同的核心子系统,所以两种产品的表现较为接近。
